A Plataforma de Organizacións de Infancia de Galicia presentouse en sociedade o mércores 11 de abril de 2018, no rectorado da Universidade de Santiago de Compostela .
A Plataforma naceu formada por 21 organizacións sociais galegas: Aclad Alborada, Aldeas Infantiles SOS Galicia, Fundación Amigó, Asociación Abuso y maltrato infantil EN El , Asociación Ansia, Federación ASDE-Scouts, Federación Aspace, Fundación Ayuda en Acción, Cruz Roja, Fundación Diagrama, Fundación Educo, Escuela de Tiempo Libre Don Bosco, Federación Don Bosco, Instituto gallego de gestión para lo tercero sector Igaxes, Federación Marcha Compostela, Fundación Niños, Fundación Secretariado Gitano, Fundación Tierra de hombres, Centro Trama, Unicef e Asociación Viraventos.
No acto de presentación participaron diversas autoridades: o conselleiro de Política Social de la Xunta de Galicia, José Manuel Rey Varela; a concelleira de Políticas Sociais, diversidade, saúde e Centros cívicos do concello de Santiago de Compostela; a decana da Facultad de Ciencias da Educación da USC (enlazar); o Presidente de Plataforma de Organizaciones de Infancia de España; e Xesús Mª Vilas Otero, o primeiro presidente da Plataforma de Organizaciones de Infancia de Galicia.
